Positive Life Style Programme

The Program

The program has been specifically designed to enhance a person’s self-awareness, in addition to enabling them to gain a better understanding of personal life skills. The Positive Lifestyle Program consists of 10 weekly sessions.

 

 

 Program Modules

 

  • Self Awareness  -  exploring the inner self and their interaction with others.
  • Anger  -  looking at a persons  own anger style
  • Depression  -  times and circumstances leading to depression 
  • Stress  -  how people  deal with stress
  • Loneliness  -  times and circumstances leading to loneliness
  • Grief and Loss  -  analysing issues surrounding grief and loss
  • Creative Problem Solving
  • Assertiveness
  • Self Esteem
  • Goal Setting

 

Each session deals with  topics relating to everyday issues.  The main emphasis of the program is to allow the individual to explore and evaluate their own personal experiences in relation to that subject.

 

How may the Positive LifestylePOSITIVE LIFESTYLE SELF ESTEEM Program benefit those experiencing difficulties in life?

It is a program designed for people who because of difficulties in their lives, have lowered self-esteem, struggle with issues around anger, grief and loss. It has been discovered after lengthy research that people suffering from stress and /or depression over personal issues can experience difficulties re-entering the work force, have difficulties with inter-personal relationships and are often disconnected from society.

People can self refer, be referred by a Employment Plus Worker, Welfare Officer, Salvation Army Court Chaplain or ordered by a Magistrate.
