Children’s Champions

The Communities for Children Children’s Champions awards are an annual event, where local individuals and businesses are acknowledged for their commitment and dedication to the children of our local community.

The awards ceremony and breakfast are a wonderful opportunity to show these people the amount of change their actions create for local children. Whether it is through a monetary contribution, a gift of resources, donation of services, or volunteering their time, these individuals and businesses make a huge difference in the community.

Engaging Business

By working with and engaging local businesses, Communities for Children is able to contribute to the sustainability of the well-being and development of the local children of our region.

UN Child friendly Communities model for Logan

In 2010, Communities for Children, in conjunction with Queensland Health’s Early Years Initiative, Griffith University and the benevolent Society’s Browns plains Early Years Centre are leading on the development of the United Nations Child Friendly Community Model for the Region.

The process, on completion, will situate Logan as an internationally recognized child friendly community, ensuring the best start in life through the inclusive services for children and their families. This process is important whether you are a non-government or community organisation, school, childcare, business or government agency.
