Woolworths Carols in the Domain
Volunteering Opportunities
Since the inaugural event in 1983, The Salvation Army has been the proud charity partner of Woolworths Carols in the Domain. Throughout these years the Salvos have raised more than $3.5 million through the sale of candles and candle bags to help support Australians experiencing homelessness.
The average number of people accessing homelessness services because of their inability to pay rent, has risen by a staggering 27 percent in the last four years, and with homelessness still on the rise, your support is needed now more than ever.
This year, we’re seeking the support of volunteers to help us both pack, and sell our Candle Bags! We also have an exciting new opportunity at Woolworths Carols in the Domain to recruit volunteer ushers. Read on to learn more about the available opportunities this year and how to register.
Candle bag packing
We have 6000 candle bags to pack, each containing around 20-25 items, and we need all the help from volunteers we can get! This opportunity is perfect for large or small groups looking for a great team building activity.
