ON Sunday 27 November 2011, four people from Capricorn Region Corps will be commissioned as Salvation Army officers – Cadets Aaron and Alana Reid and David and Lara Sutcliffe.

These past two years, they have been undertaking officer training through The Salvation Army’s School for Officer Training in Sydney. Their session of cadets is called Friends of Christ and they have studied theology, church history, pastoral care, community development, public relations, world religions, ethics, spiritual formation, etc.

They have also engaged in ministry in the field putting a lot of their learnings into practice and preaching regularly.

In January next year, Aaron, Alana, David and Lara will take up their first appointments as Salvation Army officers – Aaron and Alana as Corps Officers of Bathurst Corps, west of Sydney, and David and Lara as Corps Officers of Noosa Corps, just north of Brisbane. Of course, with David and Lara will be their daughters Mikaela and Ella.

PLEASE PRAY for our friends as they come up to their big day later this month and then as they head toBathurstand Noosa.
