Home League Bundaberg

Many years ago The Salvation Army formed a group called the "Home League". It was formed to assist woman at home by getting together once a week and educating them in the Christian life style. Over the years The Salvation Army Home League has grown into a very strong part of the Army Corps. As time has passed however lifestyles and life in general has changed in many ways. To cater for these changes the Home League has adapted to meet current needs. Today in Bundaberg we have a very vibrant Home League, no longer catering just for women but menare also very welcome. Our motto is C.A.M.E.O. (COME AND MEET EACH OTHER). We meet together every Thursday at The Salvation Army hall in Targo Street Bundaberg at 10.00am. We commence with morning tea and fellowship. From 10.30am until 11.30am we have our meeting.  Each week we organise something different and have as much variety as possible. Once a month we have a trip out somewhere for morning tea, brunch or lunch depending on the destination. Once a month we endeavour to have a visiting singer or singing group to entertain us. We also have people visit from the community bringing us up to date with what’s available to assist us if we need it. Our Officers, Majors Heather and Kev Unicomb also regularly lead our Home League. We have member’s days, show specials and birthday mornings. We have a regular group of people who enjoy attending each week. If transport is a problem let us know so we can arrange for our bus to pick you up.
