SAGALA - Salvation Army Guarding And Legion Activities ministry is an international program for children and youth focused on building life skills and personal growth. Very similar to Scouts and Guides.

 The SAGALA ministry is a life skills, award based program.

It is a program for young people aged between 5-16 years that builds integrity, provides community service experience, leadership development and an opportunity to respond to the good news of Jesus Christ, which is foundational to the program.

SAGALA comprises the Life Saving Guard Organisation (girls' sections) and the Boys' Legion (boys' sections).

Within these two groups are six sections:

 

Children aged: Boys' Legion Life Saving Guard
Organisation
5 - 6 years Explorers Moonbeams
7 - 10 years  Adventurers  Sunbeams
11 - 16 years  Rangers  Guards


SAGALA is open to all young people aged 5-16 years regardless of race, gender, social standing, economic background or faith. Members pass simple enrolment tasks that include attendance, memorisation and some practical work.
