To facilitate fair and equitable acces to library resources, the following borrowing guidelines have been adopted:
A maximum of EIGHT items may be borrowed by each student.
Books from the REFERENCE sections may NOT be borrowed by any student at any time. They are for use WITHIN the library only.
Other Reference Books (indicated by an 'R' on the spine) are NOT available for borrowing.
Journals, periodicals, newspapers and magazines are not available for borrowing.
The Required textbook/s for subjects each semester are placed on CLOSED RESERVE and are NOT available to students for borrowing.
Other books placed on CLOSED RESERVE may be used within the library ONLY and are not available for borrowing.
Borrowers are encouraged to take seriously their obligations to care for the books they borrow and to return them in good condition and within the required time limit.
We ask that you please do not mark any of the books with highlighters, pens, pencils or fold any of the the pages.
We ask that you do not take any items out of the library that have not been recorded.
Distance Students may search the online catalogue for books and resources, but are required to contact the Booth College librarian by email or phone to borrow items.
On-Campus students may borrow using the electronic loan system in the library or through the library staff.
Please contact the library by phone or email as soon as possible with your request. While all requests will be considered, extensions are not possible if the item has been requested or reserved by another user.
In order to protect its valuable collection the following fines for overdue or lost books apply:
Late Returns: books returned more than 3 working days after the due date will incur a monetory fine of $2 per book per week.
Non Returns: books not returned 10 working days after the due date will be deemed to be either lost or stolen, and the borrower will be issued with an invoice for the full replacement cost of the book, plus a service fee of $20.00
