The Lake Munmorah program is an intensive full-time 1 year residential course. Although some free time is allocated to students each week, there is no opportunity for part-time work. |
Students studying at the OASIS campus (Surry Hills) are offered both residential and non-residential delivery and are required to allocate 3 full days for study. They may work part-time on other days. |

Students studying at the OASIS Hunter Site are offered the opportunity to Learn Youth Work in a Youth Work environment with classes 1 day per week as well as practicum requirements, individual study and assessment work. |
MORE THAN JUST A COURSE...Booth College offers more than just a Certificate IV in Youth Work course. We offer a spiritually transformational experience.
And even if your future career path is not within the scope of our course, skills learnt are valuable in any field of employment and in general life.
This qualification covers workers who develop and facilitate programs for young people through a range of community based programs designed to address the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people.

Largely self directed with fairly autonomous decision making capacity under the indirect supervision of a manager.
Youth worker
A successful graduate of this course will be able to demonstrate an effective model of Christian discipleship within The Salvation Army and have a Certificate IV qualification in Youth Work.
Courses in the community services training package are closely associated and so it also may be possible to obtain other qualifications and/or skill sets by doing extra units to gain the knowledge and qualification you need to work in the community services sector that you are most passionate about, including:
