Food Revelation is held on the Second Tuesday of the Month. Tuesday Classes will be either a theemed night or master class where we invite a local Chef to teach us their style of cooking. Other special events are known as Outdoor Events and are scheduled throughtout the year. Keep up to date with all the happenings on our new facebook page where you can register online to attend any of our events.
The philosophy of Food Revelation is simple;
We believe that food and the culinary arts are a gift from God. We believe that the opportunity learn and share knowledge of food and the culinary arts should be made available to all members of the community and not restricted only to those who can afford to pay the lofty fees of private cooking schools. Food Revelation aims to teach members of the Belconnen community a skill for life that they can share with their family and friends in a safe, relaxed and supportive environment. Food Revelation aims to build kitchen confidence in less experienced cooks and hone the culinary skills of the more experienced. Food Revelation wants the Belconnen community to be cooking better and eating better. Above all, Food Revelation believes that cooking should be a fun and rewarding experience to be enjoyed.
A Food Revelation "class" consists of 3 segments learn, create, enjoy
1. Learn: class participants will learn about the history and cultural significance of the dish they will be preparing and the basic techniques to prepare the dish.
2. Create: class participants will create the chosen dish under the instruction of a "teacher"
3. Enjoy: class participants will sit and enjoy their culinary creations in a shared fellowship meal.
