Donating Furniture

We accept clean, undamaged furniture that is suitable for re-sale. We either sell the items to support the work of the Salvos in Canberra, or distribute it to families in need.

You can drop furniture off to the main Salvos Store at 15 Mildura Street, Fyshwick. Alternatively, you can call 13 SALVOS (13 72 58) and ask for a pick-up from your home.

Please DO NOT dump furniture near any Salvos store. Every year the Salvation Army sends 4,000 truckloads of dumped clothing and damaged goods to tips. This costs over $5 million in dumping fees. Please don't add to this burden.

Donating Clothes

The Salvos accept good-quality, clean clothing for re-sale through Salvos Stores or distribution to those in need.

You can drop your clothing off at the nearest Salvos store in the ACT. Stores are located all over the region.
