12 October 2009
Dear friends:
Thank you for your faithfulness in intercession. The Thursday morning prayer meeting is a vital witness of our dependence on the Lord and our belief that He hears and answers prayer. I encourage you to keep praying and to encourage others to join this half hour of power.
Yesterday morning (Thursday October 8th), at the commencement of our prayer meeting, I shared a comment I read on the genealogy of Jesus as found in Matthew’s gospel. Now many of us do not find a list of biblical names to be very inspiring. Yet these forty two generations are a testimony to the faithfulness of God. A promise made to Abraham 2000 years before and a covenant with David years later would be truly fulfilled in Jesus. God keeps his promises.
God’s call and commands are promises as well. He would never ask us to do anything without providing the grace. So when He calls us to be a holy people, we know we can be. There is no guesswork about it. Yet it requires our obedience and trust. The work has been done to make us a pure people, dedicated to Him, separated from sin, and serving with a loving heart. He has made every provision.
As you pray through the Priorities each week, please keep praying that our territory would be marked by prayer and holiness. It is the key to effective service and the answer for joyous and purposeful living. May He bring revival to His Army!
Please add to your list the following prayer points:
Blessings on you, friends. I thank God for you.
Yours sincerely,
Linda Bond (Commissioner)
Territorial Commander
